How to Make Shrimp on the Grill
Summary: Jumbo shrimp are flavored with basil, garlic, paprika, lemon, and sugar. They are then finished off on the grill. Serve hot with salad, as well as rice or potato salad.

  • 2 lbs jumbo shrimp
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 tablespoon sliced fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bag and marinate for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  2. Prepare grill to a high heat.
  3. Thread the shrimp on to skewers and grill for 5 minutes, turning to char all sides.
  4. * If you like, you can peel and devein the shrimp first, but they are more flavorful if cooked in their skin and then peeled.
