Amazing Spicy Grilled Shrimp Recipe

  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 lbs large shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 12 wooden skewers
  1. Combine the olive oil, sesame oil, chili paste, parsley, hot sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, salt, pepper, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
  2. Set about ⅓ of this mixture to one side to use while grilling.
  3. Peel and devein the shrimp, and add them to a large, resealable plastic bag.
  4. Pour in the remaining marinade and seal the bag.
  5. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  6. Preheat a grill for high heat.
  7. Soak the skewers in cold water for 30 minutes.
  8. Thread the shrimp on to the skewers, piercing once near the tail and once near the head.
  9. Discard the marinade.
  10. Grease the grill grate and add the shrimp, cooking for 2 minutes per side or until opaque, basting often with the reserved marinade.
